wrappers -Plymouth/Devon area.

Featured Replies

Can anyone on here here recommend a reputable person or company in the Plymouth or Devon area that can wrap my Octavia's roof, B pillars and grille?

Looking to get them in gloss black to match other bits.

Or would you recommend an alternative to wrapping that is removable, in the future?

Thanks in advance.

Plastidip is a rubber paint which is very easily removed when needed. You'll get a better finish with vinyl, it feels like paint whereas plastidip is awful.

I have no idea if they are any good or not, but there is a place over my way in Torquay, ant remember the name, will post it if I can remember, might be worth a shout?

Popped into a place in Plymouth...quoted £170 for roof, £35 for grille and think he said £15 per B pillar.

Not sure if that is a good price said it was genuine 3M gloss black with a 5 or 7 year warranty on it.

Also can anyone confirm if the roof Ariel/antenna mounting screw/nut is accessible through the rear interior light or does the head lining need to come down from the hatch area to get at it?

He needs to remove it to do the roof wrap.

Regards

Yeh you remove the c pillar trim and pull the lining back giving you access to the bolt.

Cheers Harry, for the info...I had just found that out too, whilst looking back through some old shark fin threads, on here.

Now I'm tempted to put the golf mk5 shark fin on, if I get the roof wrapped.

I know it reduces FM/AM reception but not too bothered as use DAB front powered antenna for most of my listening.

"Edit" predictive text...grrr

Prefered the BMW fins but not sure on fitment.
