Hi,

My father has a poverty spec 1.2 Fabia1 2008, bought new and done around 14,000miles.  it is one week out of warrenty and a fault has developed with the door locking. I wondered if anyone else has encountered the same problem.

 

the drivers door lock seems incredibly stiff when compared with either the passenger side, or indeed , my own series 1 112,000mile fabia

quite often the doors will not lock at all ( the noise of the mechanism seems different when this happens).forcing the key makes no difference.  has anybody come accross this?  

 

any advice, comments, laughter would be very welcome.

Speak to your local dealership/ Skoda UK as they may repair as a good will thing as your just out of warranty!
