Plz some help me i have skoda octo2005 tdi it has EM LIght come on i diagnose fault with garage they said u have change egr i gave clean egr and clear the fault but after driving abt 15 miles after 2hour it comes on again plz can advice me on this if i change can be cured this problem or is this fault related to some thing else thanx guys

Garage said "change the EGR" - You didn't, you just (tried) cleaning it out.

 

I'd say go with the advice the garage have already given you.

 

Replace it or get it removed/bypassed.

The definive test is to apply a vacuum to the EGR with a Mityvac or similar. I would expect the garage you took it to, to have done this test.

If this has been done and the valve does not open, then the EGR is faulty and should be replaced. If it hasn't been done, then do it first.

It could also be a bad vacuum hose between the EGR and the solenoid valve block, a faulty solenoid valve block or a wiring problem, but a faulty EGR is most likely.

Thanx but spoken today other mechanic my car macking whisteling noise like air leek when i exerlating he advise put gasket in on egr valve he think thats where the whisteling noise come from and leeking air i m going to try i ll update u guys
