Turbo leak?

Featured Replies

So I took the cover off my engine today to see what it was like under there, (the cars new) and I looked at what I believe is the turbo and manifold and it was all covered in black oil witch is pretty sticky as well I took the pipe off from the turbo and it looks like it has been leaking too (black oil again all over the outside of the pipe, anyway I can fix this, is this common?

116k full service history from skoda, I'm currently not driving it yet as my insurance is running out next week on my old car, but when I am ready to use the vrs I will be getting it serviced and cambelt changed pretty much straight away

That looks normal in the photo. The seals on the boost piping often leak which will pass oil. You can replace the seals and clips however the pipes are very expensive.

If you aren't losing boost don't worry!
