I'm looking for an iPhone 5 car mount, potentially with a built in charger, for my MK1 Octavia.

I was wondering what people use in there's, and what they'd recommend?

I've seen those ones which plug straight into the cigarette socket and have a "bendy arm"? Kinda hard to describe! I not so keen on the window mounted one.

Let me know what you guys use, pictures would be ideal!

Have a look at the brodit ones. I got an active holder for my htc desire. Think they do one for the iphone.

No, you can get a clip aswell that the mount fits to.

According to the quote below from the ad, £5.95 only buys the sticky mounting pad. So how much does the suction mount in the image cost?

Brodit holders all day long.

Quite expensive, but excellent quality.. the new ones are velvet lined so they don't scratch the case etc.

I've been using Active brodit holders for all my phones and nav units last 5 years and I'm more the happy. Maybe a bit more expensier then others but you wont regret it. No drilling at all!

I have this fitted, ok so not iPhone but Samsung, Brodit also do for iPhone plus Kuda console, I have used both over the years, the last picture is a Brodit iPhone active holder in a Kuda console. I took this out of my previous Octavia before selling and as I don't have an iPhone it's just sitting in the cupboard.
