Hello...new-to-be Skoda owner with Maxidot issues

Featured Replies

Good evening, Hope somebody might be able to help me?  :sun: This afternoon, I put a deposit down for a new Fabia 1.6 Monte Carlo Tech. It has not yet been built, but dealer says I should have it sometime in October. Obviously lots of thought before I decided to buy and looking forward to driving it!

All very exciting, but got rather sold on all the images of the Maxidot trip computer. I get free satnav and bluetooth, which is great, but it comes  with the "ordinary" trip computer. No extra specs are allowed with this order, and this includes Maxidot. Both Skoda head office and my local dealer have confirmed this - they say they cannot undertake a retro fit.

Is it possible, anywhere, to get a retro fit? If so, quite costly? I read an old topic thread in here (from 29/11/12), by someone called samsfab...who got a retro fit done in Stoke. Maybe it's best to forget about Maxidot..but any help would be most appreciated...regards Steve

there was a thread recently about MaxiDot retrofit and coding. It might be in the for sale section :)
