Fabia VRS S.E Starting Issues

Guys, Ive owned my Fabia VRS SE since september last year, not had a single problem until now.

Its like this... go and get in the car shut the door, seat belt on then put the key in to start her up turn the key all the way around and nothing... no starter motor firing. But i get all the dash lights on inlcuding the glow plug light so in know there is ignition power. But again nothing from the starter motor.

I did abit of a read up and noticed the PD130's have trouble with a Relay 109... so i went out and bought one hoping this would fix the problem. stripped off the lower dash to get to the relays and where relay 109 should be there was a relay 53 so i didnt want to go and swap that as it didnt seem right. Whilst doing this i went to disconnect the battery and the negative was loose so i tightened that up and it didnt do it for a couple of days.

Its now back with avengence.

To get the car started i have to leave my door open then put the key in turn it all the way around and slam my door shut and it will kick into life. This makes me think its a dodgy connection or another relay thats on its way out.

Has anyone else had this problem and can shed any light on it?

Oh and to add VAGCOM throws up no errors.
