Potential new purchase

Featured Replies

Im tempted by a Superb Elegance 170bhp DSG diesel, looking to upgrade from an Octavia. Its an 09 plate, with 16K on the miles from a Skoda deal, its going for £13,500. However, after dropping by here I am concerned about reliability

Any views??

Low mileage for four years old.

I sold my 170 DSG last month less than 2.5 years old with 82000 miles on the clock and didn't have any problems with it.

Yes it is low mileage which makes mr wonder why, but as its from a Skoda dealer hoping its genuine with no track record ! Is there any way I can ascertain the cars history?

I cannot believe Skoda main dealer would sell anything dodgy. Look at their terms and conditions for their approved car sales for instance.

Why not phone the previous owner. Details on log look, service record.

For the record I have just sold my Octy 2 and gone for a Superb. It is a step up in quality.

Good luck.
