Remote Central Locking Kit - 2010 Octavia

Featured Replies

Hi, I hope someone can help!

I am trying to fit a RightClick Remote Central Locking Kit to a 2010 Octavia 1.2 TSI that currently has manual (key operated) central locking.

There are seven wires from the door lock as follows:

1. yellow/black

2. yellow/brown

3. yellow/grey

4. black/grey

5. green/red

6. green/yellow

7. brown

From the info provided with the kit I believe that both the lock and unlock functions are driven from the one wire (yellow/grey).  I have followed the kit instructions to fit the remote central locking kit in the door and can get it to lock (white wire on remote kit) with the remote but can't get it to unlock (black/white wire on remote kit). I have tried both with and without 680 ohm resistor but still can't get it to unlock.

Not sure where I am going wrong - anyone else fitted one of these kits to a facelift model?.

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers

try and get a wiring diagram and go from there. Elsa, Haynes, whatever...

Hi, thanks for the reply - I have the wiring diagram for the driver side central locking unit which is where I found the info re using the single (yellow/grey) wire.  Was wondering if anyone had successfully fitted one of these kits to the facelift model and if they had success connecting both lock/unlock wires in the remote kit to the the single wire on central locking unit in the door?

if you post both diagrams i could take a look. Cant promise anything though!

Sorry for delay in replying - been away for last few days.

The Right Click wiring diagram is the one shown on page 12 of PDF below (Type H: Negative (-) Multiplex) according to RightClick.

http://www.rclick.co.uk/documents/Universal_Fitting_All_Vehicles.pdf

I have attached a photo of the Octavia Central Locking wiring diagram which I believe is the wiring diagram from Nov 2008 onwards (seems to be correct as the colour of the 7 wires mentioned in diagram are the same colour as wires in my car).  My understanding from the diagram is that it's the grey and yellow wire that should be used and that is what I've connected both the lock and unlock wires from the kit to.

I've followed all the instructions for the central locking kit wire connections but currently the lock and unlock buttons on the remote keypad both lock the car, but I can't get it to unlock at all using the remote.

I have also tried to connect a 680 ohm resistor to the unlock wire but it does nothing (it doesn't lock or unlock) when resistor is used.

Thanks for your help.

Hi, did you ever get this sorted and what was the issue in the end? I have a 2007 Octavia.

Thanks!
