Advice on insurance

Featured Replies

I'm with sky insurance and im off to collect a fabia vrs tomorrow.

I've previously had quotes from them for the car but not had the policy changed over.

I had been at work all day and tried to call them to get the policy swapped but they were closed.

My question is would i be covered to drive the car back or would i need to take out temp cover to get it back? I really want to make sure that i'm covered before i drive.

Thanks in advance

Rob

as you'll own the car you won't be covered unless it specifically says so in the policy. some policies allow you to drive a car that doesn't belong to you on a 3rd party only basis but even if you have this clause it won't cover you because of the above. try the dealer- they might be able to get you short term cover with skoda.

Thanks very much, i guess i will have to get some cover for the daqy but better safe than sorry.

Know of any cheap temp cover companies?

Cheers

Most dealers offer free 7 day cover along the basis when you phone to set it up you have to get a quote off them fir insurance. Your not obliged to take it though.

If from a skoda/VAG dealer you should have been given details of the free 7 day cover

It's a private sale from one of the guys on here.

Looks like a one day policy is in order. Just got a quote for £25 with breakdown cover. not as painful as i thought
