Fault codes and warning lights on Fabia 1.4 tdi

Featured Replies

The engine warning light came on in the car about a week ago. Kept driving until my code scanner came in the post. Scanner arrived on Thursday and showed the following 2 codes:

P3007 - camshaft position sensor (g40) no signal. Static- no define

P3130 - EGR system regulation range exceeded. Static - no define.

Whilst returning from a long drive today the Glow plug system light has now also come on and there is a 3rd code:

P0571 - Brake switch F implausible signal. Static - no

The above 3 codes appear when the scanner is run in VW/AUDI mode.

If I run the scanner in ObdII/Eobd mode it shows the following code:

P0401 - EGR flow insufficient

Is there anything I can do to fix these issues myself?

If I should just get the car to a garage is it safe to drive?

Thanks

Stephen

Just an update. Myself and the brother in law had a look under the bonnet earlier, the was a small hole in a tube going into the EGR. We repaired the tube and after about 10 miles driving the Engine light went out.

The glow plug light is still flashing but it appears to be the brake light sensor that's setting that off as the brake lights aren't working but bulbs are fine. So I'll try and pick up a sensor tomorrow, we'll change it tomorrow night and see if that sorts everything out.
