Intermittent wipers wont work?

Featured Replies

hi, my Intermittent wipers never worked since I got the car a year ago. read that it could be the rain sencsor might be the problem. I cant see any wires going from the rear view mirror so am I looking in the right place? thanks in advance.

Intermittent or rain sensing? What spec is the car?  Mine were working fine just now when I just pulled into Junction 14 services on the M7 :rain::happy:

You probably need to say what spec car it is.  There is always a chance someone has done a botch windscreen replacement with the wrong windscreen and so now you have no sensor... The cars with sensor only have 4 modes: off, intermittent based on sensor, on and on fast.  So if you had no sensor on a car that should have I'd imagine you see what you are seeing.

Or you might have a broken wiper control relay.  But it is surprisingly common for the wrong windscreen to get fitted...
