I've just bought a mk1 vrs and I'm thinking of fitting a double din unit with sat nav. Which is a good unit for a decent price? It's been a while since I ventured into the ice market.

second question is can you fit some sort of hdd under the passenger seat or in the glove box to store music on? There may be double din units with this capability but i'm not up to speed.

Cheers in advance

I'm not able to help but you may want to consider asking the same question 'The Technology Shed' forum to get a wider audience :)

I did wonder which forum was best to put it on. Cheers for the heads up, ill copy the post over.

most units are compatible with a usb stick and seeing as you can get 64gb+ sticks I think a hard drive wouldnt be needed. You can how ever get mech-less units which have no CD capability but I think have a hard drive

What is your budget? You can get double din units from very cheap to very expensive. First thing to remember is you get what you pay for.

If you buy a unit for £150 and it has loads of features expect it to sound awful and break  within 10 minutes
