VRS Right Hand Buttons Retrofit

Featured Replies

Hi, I think it's my first post, but I am reading this forum for over a year now. Anyway, I see a lot of people complaining for the right side buttons. They are right, the wiper stalk sucks. I saw that item:

http://www.cars-equipment.com/www/en/shop/steering-wheels/oem-skoda-octavia-superb-yeti-multifunction/.

I got an offer for only the right buttons and wiring for 65 euros shipped. I think the price is fine (euros). The guy from the shop just told me that I can do the job myself so I guess it won't be difficult. But I don't have any instructions I don't even know how to get off the plastic cover in the area where the buttons will be placed. So what do you think? Should I give it a try? Has anyone here did this before?

Welcome to the forum.

Do you mean you are moving the Stalk on the right with the Wipers (& Maxidot function if fitted) to the Left

& the Stalk with the LIghts & Indicators to the Right hand side.?

Is this on a Fabia Mk2?

Looks like le_bron is planning to move the telephone and MFD menu controls to the right side of the wheel rather than use the stick?

Would this control cruise as well?

Will be interested in the result....

Your English is good.

And is this on a Fabia,

which model of Fabia, Year/Model, & with which steering wheel, ?

Got a wide variety on that linked website, wonder if it would be straight forward to swop fabia wheel for octavia 2/3 RS wheel?

This has all the functionality of adding the RHS buttons and more by the looks of it, guess the question is how the loom would work and how to code it?
