Vrs mk 2 tdi tyre pressures

Featured Replies

Hi every one I am pleased to be joining this forum, I have taken the plunge mk 2 vrs tdi 2012 6200 miles in green metalic now on my drive. Any idea what the tyre pressures should be ,it has the 18 inch Neptune wheels. Sorry if this subject has been brought up before. Regards

Hello and welcome. On mine the recommended tyre pressure is on the inside of the fuel cap.....You have a 2012 so should be the same unless some blitter stole it....

Mines a Petrol but I run mine at 35Psi. More than what it says on the Fuel Flap but I think it holds the road better and the tyres are showing no uneven wear.

Thanking you I will have a look inside of flap, no mention of tyre pressures in hand book I was surprised

Auric, I was running that pressure whilst in Germany this year and must say I did notice a grip difference....did also notice slight MPG difference as well.....only recently put them back down to 33psi

More  grip or less?

More......missed a word in there me thinks... :p

I drove 600 miles last night and I am not finished my journey yet, my MPG was utter rubbish first 250 miles stint was 51.2mpg and rest was about 48. Mine are set to the higher listed ones for running with full load in car (there is a fair bit in car im moving a lot of stuff). I normally get higher MPG though :( Are you guys running 35 front and back?
