My new Octavia III Estate will be arriving in October, as such I need to say goodbye to my current car.

More photos at the bottom of the post.

First registered 11/10/2008 (58 Reg). Skoda Fabia 5dr Estate 1.9TDI manual in ‘3’ specification, in Brilliant Silver metallic with Black/Onyx cloth interior, 16” wheels and black roof rails. The engine is the 105bhp 5 speed PD Turbo Diesel, with no DPF as standard; the engine has never been re-mapped or modified in any way.

The car is a ‘3’ specification (top level at the time/Elegance equivalent) including a few options; Metallic paint, Climate Control, Cruise Control, Sunset Glass, rear parking sensors, front E/W, R/C/L, sports suspension, 16” alloys, front armrest, electric heated mirrors, sunset glass, front fog lights, Maxidot computer and a full size spare steel spare wheel to name a few.  The only modification I have made to the car is to add a Bury CC9060 Bluetooth car kit, which can be left fitted if required. The following accessories are fitted; Official Skoda rubber boot liner, boot storage nets & floor mats.

The car has had one owner from new (me), it was purchased from Allam’s Skoda in Epsom, Surrey. The car was dealer stock, but not pre-registered, 6 miles on the clock when I collected it. The car is still on its original registration, with no private plate.

Current mileage is 104,300 – the car is being used daily at present, around 1,500 miles per month so this will rise. I am aware this a little high but the car has a full documented Skoda main dealer service history, is in good condition and has been well looked after and maintained, so please don’t let this put you off.

The car has cost me very little to run and easily returns a minimum of 55mpg (tank to tank) on a mix of motorway, dual carriageway and A-roads here in South Wales. The car still drives and pulls well, with no apparent signs of wear to the gearbox/clutch/turbo etc and nothing reported to indicate as such from the time of servicing. It has never been involved in any accidents or suffered any major damage, other than a few chips and scratches which are listed below. The car has never been smoked in or carried children, though it is a dog transporter.

HPI clear - There is no finance outstanding

MOT to 11/10/2014 & Tax to 31/03/14 (£105 pa – Band D). The front tyres are brand new and the rears have plenty of life left.

I won’t lie and say the car is immaculate, though I believe it to be in a good condition. In the pursuit of honesty there are a few minor niggles/problems –

  • The rubber pull handle on the inside of the boot door has been chewed on by our dog, it still works just is a little scruffy looking.
  • There is a tiny chip on windscreen (passenger side lower corner by tax disc), smaller than a 5p piece, it has never increased so I have never done anything to repair.
  • There are a few stone chips on the bonnet and bumper, nothing major given its age.
  • The rear bumper is a scratched and scuffed from the dog entering and exiting, only minor cosmetic damage.
  • There are three small dents to the driver side upper shoulder (above the windows, beneath the roof rail), I have never known where these came from if I’m honest. They are somewhat difficult to see unless you are looking for them, there is no damage to the paint or lacquer.
  • The driver’s side rear wheel has a 6 inch scuff on it as a result of kerb damage, though it’s nothing significant.

I still have both original flip keys and the original owner’s documentation, toolkit, locking wheel nut etc.

I would be looking for £3900 ONO, which I think is a fair price when taking the overall condition for the mileage and age into consideration, looking at comparable cars on Autotrader/eBay etc.

The car is located about 10 miles north of Swansea, 15 minutes north of Junction 45 of the M4. Please let me know if you have any questions, PM me or ask them below. I will happily pass on my contact number to those who are interested through PM.

Thanks

Tom

Re. The below photos, I am in no way affiliated with the garage in the photos or selling on their behalf, I took the photos outside this establishment after visiting the hand car wash next door.

Ok, might have been a website issue then. For some reason it was showing as no views, until I wrote my reply then it registered a hundred or so. Thanks for your feedback.
