The Deed is Done!

Featured Replies

I have ordered my Yeti today! Went for 2.0 litre 110bhp  'S' in the end. Corrida Red  with factory fitted tow bar and spare wheel. Expected delivery is being quoted as 10-12 weeks, so hopefully in time for Christmas.

Many thanks to all on here who have given me advice- I am sure I shall be back many times for answers to more questions! I spend too much time on here now, reading avidly!

Congratulations.

Fortunately Christmas does seem to come around very quickly.

Well done, you should find the 110 bhp fine for towing. I used it to tow a coachman highlander 1200kg. The only reason I'm changing my car is it gives me the option for getting a heavier caravan in the future.

If you are towing a 1200kg van, it will eat mine at 780kg MTW!  I normally hope Christmas doesn't come too soon after the summer- this year I can't wait!!.

Fantastic news Linda.  After all the deliberation between a 1,2 and a 1,6 TDI you go and buy a BEAST!  hehehe  You will also be one of the very few in a super scarce S model.  Enjoy the wait.

It will be the most powerful car I have ever owned! When I did my test drive it was a 2 litre and I loved the feeling of the extra power. I think on the hills of Exmoor and my trips to the West coast of Scotland it will serve me well!

Yes surprise a few motors on a hill climb in my 110 4x4 :giggle:

Enjoy,

Just been informed my Yeti is due to be built week 41! Only ordered week 38! Dealer says delivery could be 3-4 weeks from then, so I may have it for the beginning of November. I had expected to wait until around week 50 - second week of Dec as told 10-12 weeks.

He has confirmed it will be my preferred choice of pre F/L-  apparently  dealers are  not allowed to place stock orders at the moment, only customer ones.  It appears  they are having a push to get the last of the current model away.

I am not getting too excited  yet though- many a slip between cup and lip!

I placed my order on 17th August and was given a build date of week 43, got a message on Monday to say it was now build week 39 i.e. the week begining 30th September, spoke to the dealer on Tuesday 1st October, and it was already on the dock awaiting shipment! I hope that there are no delays at the port (Emden I believe, must look it up on the map). Orders for pre FL models are maybe being speeded up, although from other posts a 6-7 week time lapse form order to build does not seem unusual.

I have now shifted a gear from resigned waiting to high expectation.

Just hope the quality will not suffer with all thr rush.

Hope there not all friday afternoon cars.

Well, mine looks like it was a Monday morning car - is that worse?

According to my calendar week 39 was last week- week comm. 30th Sept is week 40. Probably why yours is at the dock already.

I think you might justify allowing yourself to feel some excitement very soon!!  ;)
