Plenty of high milers here but none mention DSG

Can people post the highest trouble free miles they have had with a 7 speed DSG box.

 

Interesting question. 

 

There are a number of examples of very high mileage 6 Speed DSG on the forum with no issues (Over 300,000 miles in one case). But little information on the 7 Speed. 

their highest mileage motor is an 08 plate Octavia 1.9PD DSG Ambiente, which currently has done 409,000 trouble free miles.

 

Very impressive. A good example of the 6 speed DSGs potential longevity. 

Yes. But you want to see the state of the drivers seat and drivers door card!

I bet. I viewed an Octavia last year that I suspected had been clocked. And it was the door cards (specifically the handles) that gave the game away. 

My 2.0 is up to 594,000kms. But I think what really makes it impressive is that its remapped from new, approx. 180bhp/400nm. It had a DMF early on under warranty (130,000kms) but it's still running that replaced DMF.

I have not been by the book with the DSG service either (not even close)
