Placed an order for a vRS Estate Race Blue Tdi Manual, no extras last Friday (13/09/13) no build date as yet but dealer reckons an early November delivery, or is he being optimistic?

I ordered on 2nd Sept, lots of options and currently have a week 47 build (w/c 11th Nov).

Thanks, my thought process was that if a stock car pops up already in build then i may fall lucky for an earlier delivery, only time will tell still early days.

I ordered a similar car (Estate, Diesel, Manual, Race Blue) with some options almost 3 weeks ago now and was told there were still some standard build cars around that I could have within 2 to 3 weeks but we decided that we'd wait to get the car "we" wanted.

 

Hopefully you'll be able to get one quickly as you're taking a standard build, I think the ones that were floating about were race blue with a space saver as the only option.

 

Otherwise welcome to the waiting club - You can checkout but you can never leave.

Yeah - forgot about that.  Think it was exactly the same specs as all the demo cars seem to be.

Actually probably quite accurate, my 2010 VRS FL was on 14 weeks, mind you it was originally on 12 but I changed the order after 2 weeks in and opted for silver roof rails, glad I did though.......it was worth the wait and they do look good on Candy White

Well phoned the dealers today no news, so it doesn't look like any stock cars are in production i can jump on.   :(

Well spoke with dealer today there are no stock Octavia Estate TDI all new orders are factory build, and according to him the only thing slowing the order process down is the Sunroof & Full Leather, and they add 4 / 6 weeks to the build.

I ordered my Octavia Estate 2.0 TDi Manual Elegance in Race Blue (spare wheel and sunset glass) on 24/08 and was initially told end of November for delivery, now been contacted to say mid-November. Odd the difference given we probably ordered from same dealer (D M Keith Huddersfield?)

I went to DM Keith in Huddersfield and to be honest didn't get that good a deal couldn't shift them on price & a crap PX for mine so i went with Simpsons in Colne great deal all round Free Metallic paint a decent PX for mine, still no build date but they think delivery by the end of November, though as a side note i'm dreading taking my new vRS to DM Keith to service their car park is next to impossible to get in.  

Just got an unconfirmed build date of Week 43 they say it may come forward fingers crossed.
