Front mudflaps.... fit at the dealer or Ebay?

Featured Replies

I was considering getting some front mudflaps from the dealer when I pickup my candy white VRS to protect the paint long-term. Dealer costs are around £60-ish from memory (+VAT), yet an Ebay store for a dealer is selling the original parts for £32 delivered.

Are they a pig to fit? These and a boot mat are definitely on the "maybe I should've ordered those" list

your dealer is taking the p1ss... assuming that the fronts are on a par with the mkIIs they take 10 minutes to fit and require no drilling. my dealer fitted them foc when I picked up my 1st octy a couple of years ago and only charged me for the flaps. This was on the day I picked the car up and they fitted them there and then. I'd be bending the salesmans ear..... good luck

Likewise my dealer is just charging for the parts with no fitting cost. Front m/flaps, cill protectors & boot mat with a set of boot nets for free. That was on top of a good deal on the p/ex.

The cost of front mud flaps on my Octavia 3  were £34.50; fitted by the dealer for free.
