Next week on Saturday I'll be test driving this baby...a Merc B200 Turbo...

Engine: 2.0ltr L4 Turbo SOHC 8 valve

Max. Output: 193BHP @ 5000rpm

Max. Torque: 206lb.ft @ 1800rpm

Drivetrain: 6-speed manual

0-62mph: 7.6 seconds

Kerbweight: 1,295kgs

Looks pretty sweet, it's roomy inside..., nice interiors...except the rear-view mirror..looked kinda flimsy...nice exhaust pipe at the rear, looks evil from the front, nice curves overall pretty much...it's supposed to be a hatchback...looks more like a hatchvan or a crossbreed...

Anyways...been told it's very fast, the torque figure gives it the splendid feel etc etc...

it almost looks like the new breed of SEAT cars that they've been bringing out.

Looks fantastic!

Am I right in saying that they aren't our over here yet?

Yeah...the Chrysler 300C snoop-mobile.

Here in Dubai the price of the B200 Turbo is about GBP 16,500.00.

Now that's more acceptable.

Is the price differential generally due to less tax, excahnge rate?

Import tax for GCC countries is a common figure of 5%. Exchange rate has to do with it too.

1 Pound is equal to 7.8 dirhams. With 50 pence you can buy a can of coke. With 7.8 dirhams I can buy 7 cans of coke and some bubble gum.
