DPF sensor replacement

Featured Replies

Hi.

Found last night what cause engine and glow plugs to come up sometimes.

Differential Pressure Sensor intermitten fault.

Can you tell me please whats location of that sensor and can I replace it without rump????????

Many thanx

Andrey

You will need to have it adapted to the cars ecu. Sensor itself is easy to get at just left of the oil cap with two pipes coming from underneath it. Expect it has made in USA written on it. You need new updated made in Malaysia. I no longer have the part number to hand sorry.

Not got a clue on that one as I was lucky enough that car was under warranty when I bought it. I do know skoda supposedly had some grief adapting it to the car.

I've  got the new sensor from Skoda last Friday Made in Malaisia. put on the car but nothing changed, all lights stay ON, replace a position of the pipes, nothing...

Something push me to have a look oth both sensors and I found that a new sensor got three pins but plug have only two holes...

I was asking a parts man if its right sensor to my car, he check twice and said YES...   Negligence or Friday night?    :punch:

Is there two or maybe more tapes of PDF sensors???? :(

How can you adopt three pins sensor into two holes plug mate????

I've spoke with top tech in local Willis Skoda dealer in Ruislip, he said just plug in no adoption needed.

Even the pins are different, sensor got 3 thin ones, plug got two wide holes

If he plug from the vehicle does not fit the sensor then it's incorrect.

Mine was in dealers for 5 days having a new one fitted and they had problems adapting it to the the ecu. They eventually sought help from skoda technical department to add new and different values to the car.

So new parts   was installed today, all dash board lights are OFF now and don't need any adoption, your dealer just want to rip you off as always.

Don't trust anyone boss, please  :wall:

Was free of charge warranty work. Be careful as you may find it won't work as it's meant to.
