Quick Q regarding tyre pressure system.

Featured Replies

Tried the search and couldn't find what I was looking for so I'm resorting to a new thread...

Long story short, light bonged on tonight, swung into a garage and checked , all looked fine but topped em all up anyway, all within 1 or 2 psi of each other, set off, pressed the button and it doesn't extinguish, just immediately comes back on. Any clues anyone?

EDIT: never mind, just got to a junction and it's working now.

Could be a faulty abs sensor, it works by reading the tyre rotation from the sensor. So if one tyre goes flat or looses some pressure then the rotation changes compared to the rest and that is what sets of the warning.

I think you need to reset the system while you're stationary.

Nope, you can do it whilst moving, you just have to hold the button for a good few seconds.
