1.9 TDi ECU failure

Featured Replies

I bought my 05 plate 1.9 tdi on March 21st - no probs until 5.5k when engine warning light displayed. Bought car in Aberdeen but live south of Edinburgh. No Skoda dealer here, but have Authorised Service Centre (Tweedmouth Service Station, Berwick-upon-Tweed). Diagnostic initially indicated failure of the actuator that controls the turbo, but now saying it's a total failure of the ECU. Service centre has been unable to to fix. This going on for two weeks now. I live in a rural area, need two cars - this situation making life very difficult. Jim Neilson (Aftersales Area Manager) is on holiday. His deputy is away on a course. Anybody out there having or had similar experience?
