caravan towing with the skoda yeti

Featured Replies

Witter detachable here too ... no issues.

Which Amara is it? The bigger ones would be on the heavy side for the Yeti.

It's the we' 450/2 - and i had most of his heavy stuff in the iFor trailer i was towing - ie, pedal bike etc. - we even had his water barrels too!

To be honest, I'm going to have to go and tow with it myself, to find out if it was outfit or driver issue.

Al.

Does anyone with a factory fitted towbar tow a caravan with ATC trailer control fitted to their caravan? If so, does it power the ATC? I am keen on a new Outdoor Yeti, which I hope will still have a factory fit option for towbar, and plan to replace my current van with one that has ATC. Will the ATC work without the need for additional 'twin charging' wiring?

No, you will need the additional "twin charging" wiring.

I think, and I do stress think, you would need supplementary wiring for the ATC.  My first ATC equipped van in 2008 had twin sockets and drew power for the ATC from the 12S socket.  This however is not a definative answer!

ATC is a great bit of kit, had it on three vans now.
