Draft from rear window area

Featured Replies

In August my rear passenger window regulator broke and the window smashed in the bottom of the door, the window was fixed and works fine but since then there's a draft coming from the rear door. It's water proof but once you hit 30mph the noise begins. It's becoming very frustrating. Took it to garage and they tested it and said they think it's the door but it's flush and the same on the other side. I'm confused. Please help.

I have read somewhere on here before about an issue with the rear windows and noise. If I remember correctly (but it was a while ago) the fix was something like lowering the window right down and then ensuring that the bar between that and the fixes window was seated properly with a variety of fixes if not.

Try doing a search for something like noisy rear windowless similar - I am sure it is on here somewhere

Send the problem window down, remove the seal between window and quarter window. Slip a small wedge in the gap, and tap the wedge with a light hammer. While doing this look at the seal between door and quarter window and the end of the door. It will probably need doing every so often. Dale
