Mobile phone interference with stereo / bluetooth (Fiscon)

Featured Replies

My car has a Fiscon Basic Plus bluetooth module installed. I've been toying with replacing it with a proper OEM part because it suffers from so much electromagnetic interference.

I thought it was just when making and receiving calls but I've noticed it more and more when streaming music. Seems to be related to the phone talking to the mobile mast. I had suspected the powered cable to my phone but have ruled that out now.

Seems that the fiscon must not be shielded from interference properly but I don't really know. Putting the phone in my pocket rather than the cradle quietness it a bit but not totally. Anybody else had this issue and how did you overcome it?

Ultimately I'll get the proper OEM solution but I'd like to know what was up with the Fiscon so as not to repeat the problem.

Try a different phone

That was my next port of call. Been a bit lazy in that respect. Such a faff getting the micro sim out of the iphone, placing in an adapter and then into my old Nokia!
