3 inch dp to 2.25 inch exhaust

Featured Replies

Hi i currently have a milltek 3 inch dp with sports cat and the joining pipe which removes the centre exhaust box, would it be ok to have the rest of the exhaust from 3 inch to 2.25 and just have a backbox?

car is soon to be stage 2 mapped.

yes, its the DP that needs to be free flowing for Stage 2, which you already have, many people mate that to the stock system no problems

yeah i did see people just having the the larger dp mated to standard cat back and going stage 2 , Im going to be changing my back box to a custom made one so i wont have a centre box just a backbox but just wondered is it too much of a drop from 3 inch to 2.25 inch pipework?

No it's not too much of a drop, I ran my 3" Dp to stock system with no problems. There isn't a lot of extra sound but the vcds logs I ran showed it worked very well together.

ah ok cool i will get it made at 2.25 inch there is 2.5 inch option and 3inch but will work out expensive as will need to be mandrel bends for that.
