Maxidot display defaulting to phone

Featured Replies

Hi,

Since yesterday afternoon, the maxidot display in my Superb defaults to the phone screen and tries to establish a connection when i switch on the ignition. Previously, it defaulted to the MFD, which is how I like it.

I realise that I can press the back button on the steering wheel, once the car has realised it can't make a connection, but;

a) It's annoying

B) it didn't do this yesterday

I've tried re-setting everything to factory default with no success. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Are you using the spare key by mistake?

Set everything how you like it, displays seat positions, mirrors etc.

Store the seat position and then re store to the key you are using, try that.

Hi,

My Maxidot display has just started defaulting to the phone screen (shows signal strength, battery status, network etc) & it will not change to any other display except the 'depress clutch pedal to start & door open screen'. I have tried pressing and holding the return arrow button on the steering wheel but it will not change. I can't find any help in the owners manual (no surprise there really).

Any ideas anyone?

I've just answered my own question.

It seems there is a bug in the software which means if you change the display setting from MFD to Phone (which I must have done), when the bluetooth makes a connection to a phone it will not allow you to change the display back until you switch off or remove the phone out of range.

Job done.
