My email to the dealer at 8.30am this morning:

"Don’t be concerned about the little green tent set up on the verge outside.

It’s only me. I had a great night’s sleep, breakfast is all over.... and tea is brewing if you want to pop out for a cuppa. J

Is my car ready yet?"

....

Reply at 1.00pm

"You can come out of your tent now, your Yeti is ready to roll!"

I wonder if I pitch a tent outside my dealers overnight if my Yeti will be waiting for me the following morning? I suspect not.... :giggle:

A swish looking Yeti btw RodN, congrats.

RodN,

Don't forget to change your sign-off. You're no longer waiting and we want full spec details including colour.

Yeti L&K

Regency Green

2.0 TDI CR 170PS DPF

Park assist (now does bay parking and gets you out of the tight parking space it put you into too)

And a lot of multi-function switches and knobs that I have to figure out :)

Congratulations. have a great time and experiances with your Yeti. have you selected a name?

I usually select a name based on the registration number...

but this one isn't so easy :)

Congrats, well done. How long do you think before you stop finding new functions/switches/secrets? How about Kermit for a name? It's green and cute looking!

Very nice. Enjoy and keep us posted on the name!

Well done Rod.........glad you got your car also today !!

My clever Swmbo saw the name for our imminent arrival straight away. The number plate starts RV, so...(adopts phoney cockney accent)...Harvey!

Inaugural run today....

Started at 3pm and headed North from Gloucestershire.... M5... M6, and got as far as Penrith, 248 miles.

Raining most of the way, and some pretty heavy traffic. Took 6 hours

47.8 mpg.

Tomorrow.... we continue North again heading for the top of Scotland... but with no real plans other than to start by working up the west coast, and then over to Inverness and then North again. Several distilleries en route, and the prime target being the Glemnorangie Distillery near Tain on the Dornoch Firth.

Weather is supposedly getting better by Saturday
