comparing the two when mapped

Featured Replies

I'm not talking about which is fastest or which is best, just looking for a comparison between a remapped vrs fabia and a remapped cr vrs Octavia. Eg how does the traction compare in both wet and dry? Which is the nicest to drive, which brings a smile to there face most? And those who has had both which they where most happy with after the map. Also which has the biggest difference before and after.

I can't imagine many people have had & mapped both. My mate come close, mapped Fabia > stock cr Octavia. He preferred the Octavia because it could carry what he needed. It made him smile more because it meant he didnt have to leave things at home.

Traction will all be down to tyres, mapping to a huge extent will effect performance, the PD will gain more bhp I think, but hard to compare with totally different power delivery. The Octavia was nicer to drive IMO, smoother, quieter, bigger inside, rides better.

You're comparing apples with bananas. One is a glorified shopping trolley with a taxi engine, the other is a family car still with a taxi engine. My point is it depends what you need and what you want from the car will depend on some of the answers.

I can certainly agree about the tyre point. Without making any other changes I swapped from Dunlop W-rated to Toyo Proxes T1-R and got better traction and cornering grip.
