Octy Elegance Alarm

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where the internal sensors (if any) are located on the Elegance version?

I have tested my alarm by opening the door / bonnet / boot and it works ok.

However, if you sit in the car and lock it and allow the alarm to set you cannot trigger it by moving about in the car. Do they exist at all on this model?? - There is a disable button on the drivers side by the seatbelt for the sensors but I don't think the sensors are there or are not working at all.

Sensors are located behind the vertical slots alongside the sunglasses holder - so I believe. Elegance has them as standard. You might find that the sensors wait for 30 or so seconds so that it can build an ultrasonic 'map' of the inside of the vehicle and uses this as a reference if anything/one enters and changes the pattern. I have noticed the very same. I am told that there are sensors behind the slots in front of the sunglasses cubby but i am not so sure.

they do work as I have had mine go off when i have left the windows slightly open and not turned the internal sensors off.

I can assure you that mine do not work. My neighbours must have thought I was having some sort of seizure due to my frantic waving inside the car!!

Will try mine in the morn.

If I lock the car, and therefore trigger the alarm, very quickly after closing the doors the alarm goes off as due to air turbulence in the car.

I left my windows down the other day with the doors locked. Stuck my head in through the window a couple of minutes later to get something (forgot about the alarm  ) and the thing sounded straight away. So there's definately a volumetric sensor.

Kept forgeting to try mine. Had a go tonight and all working well.
