Slightly pointless post maybe! But I'm really excited now! Just had my build week

Confirmed for next week.

Winter Pack

Colour Maxi

Spare

Was originally quoted build week 42 but I'm guessing it moved forward a week?

Am I right in thinking 3/4 weeks from build to arrival?

Any idea how long the build physically takes? I'm guessing they just sit in a queue before lorry to boat?

oo a red one, nice  Make sure you get some pics up when it arrives.

 

Build takes 23hrs and your dealer should get an update on which day within the week it gets built.  

 

Its then waiting for it to leave the factory and take the train to the port where it waits for a slot on the boat.  

 

Mine came very quick but youd be safe to look at the 3-4 weeks that youve mentioned as others have taken longer.

 

Mine was

 

built 2nd or 3rd September (week 36)

in 9 days.... (not sure about travel time to Emden or how long it was sat at the docks)

it was delivered to Grimsby Port compound 11/9/13 @ 10:52 (week 37)

Loaded onto transporter 12/9/13 @ 21:09

Delivered to Dealer 13/9/13 pm

 

I could have picked up the next week but was away on holiday so waited until the week after.

Blimey...yours didn't hang about! That's swift on loading/unloading etc.

I've spoken to dealer and asked him to grab some pics when it arrives as he says they won't know exactly what transporter it'll be on to tell me to pop up.

Ill def get some pics up when it arrives...not seen red with black pack on here yet....

Yeah I would be keen to see your red vRS too...mine buildweek 43-45 apparently...

 

BTW whats the story with spare wheels? Does the vRS come with a standard rim with an option to be space saver? Surely it doesn't run on run flats?

gunk kit as standard. Skinny tyre as a £75 option.  No option for full sized spare.

Thinking of having the rear windows tinting - just have to find a reputable company. Think it'll look nice plus takes some of the glare off for my little lad

My vrs has also been confirmed for next week. My dealer reckons it should be here in 3 weeks.

Thinking of having the rear windows tinting - just have to find a reputable company. Think it'll look nice plus takes some of the glare off for my little lad

This is the exact reason the sunset glass was a must have for me. Yes I like it but my young kids really didn't approve when we got our current car without tinted windows :-)

Corrida Red Vrs Estate now in the country :-)

It's cleared port and is awaiting a transporter, exciting times now - not sure how long it'll take

Just had an update from my local dealer, telling me that our car is scheduled for week 45 & that no problems are foreseen

That's for an Octavia SE 16TDI in Race Blue & a spare wheel option.

My corrida red vrs DSG estate due for build next week. No black pack thou :(

Hi, new on here as new to Skoda. Ordered VRS TDI Estate in Silver. Build week 44 with est delivery around 16th December. Tried to add a sunroof a fed days ago but told that order is locked 3 weeks before build.
