Just been for a wheel aligment check...

Featured Replies

Not too bad, but the speed bumps near my house have contributed it seems, despite me being extremely careful :(

Anyway, got it corrected as best they could, although the front camber was out and would require adjustment of the subframe. Toe and steer ahead are spot on now which is good.

Rears couldn't be adjusted due to the rigid frame, but was pretty much spot on anyway.

Shows how much it can change in a year since it was last done!

Are they adjusting the subframe for you? If not how much did they leave it out? Had your caster changed much?

I've always been told that a stock Fabia vRS 1.4tsi has no rear adjustment to speak of, so what you say make sense.

Was it a Hunter alignment system?

No, It would be a big job to do so I told them not to bother. Once they'd adjusted the other bits, it corrected it slightly so was only in the red area (on the computer) by a small amount. Caster was improved as well and got back into the green. I believe it was a Supertracker system.

If it was out by a bigger amount, it would have taken it to a dealer instead I think rather than a just a tyre place.

What was interesting though was the left side of the car was better than the right, perhaps something to do with the inherent pull to the left some people mention about VAG cars? (don't know how that would work, but I've never noticed anything!)
