What's with the std octavia alloys.

What's with the std octavia alloys.

Read the post.

They do look really odd and dont suit it at all!

vRS comes with so called Dorado alloys in Hungary as standard, but this is not a standard Octavia alloy.

Nice car apart from the hideous boot spoiler. What was Skoda thinking!!

I was looking at a brand new vRS hatch today sat on my local dealers forecourt, the leather looked nice :)

Wow, a vRS on 17's is essentially a standard Octavia but with a stick on spoiler out of the accessories brochure!

This is my issue with the mklll Vrs. It's not Vrs looking at all,the mkll Vrs looks quiet different to a standard mkll octavia. That's extreamly plain looking I'm sorry!

Black just doesn't do it any justice, there's some really good lines on the vRS, but there only visible on light colours.

And this is precisely why I bought an Elegance....

The extra few 0.1-0.2s the Diesel VRS had over the normal 2ltr plus different suspension wasn't worth the extra money for less spec. If it had been a clearly different body (as in the MK2) I would have held out for one.

I did look at the Elegance - I think Skoda have messed up somewhere in their marketing strategy?

Your flagship model should have all the toys but the Elegance seems to have more stuff and even if you add in the bits and bobs on the VRS that aren't on the Elegance you don't come in that much above and beyond the VRS price.

Shame the Elegance only have a 150PS model available in diesel; that's weak by 2013 standards, 170+ is the minimum in this sector.

I'm sorry, what? The difference was in the bumpers and in the boot spoiler. The mk2 had a better looking spoiler for the hatch, while the mk3 has a better looking rear bumper (imo). What are you talking about? :)
