It depends on your age, but if you're with Esure, I'm guessing you have full NCB, so you could try Tesco/DirectLine who may charge you a small additional fee, but will allow you to change the wheels.

To find out an approximate bhp of your car, take it along to a car tuner with a rolling road. I say approximate, because a lot of rolling roads, despite being calibrated, are still quite innaccurate so don't believe everything it says ;) JBS's is one of the most accurate I think, but it depends how far you want to travel to get it tested :D

Not sure about insurers, it's worth a try though. Many places don't mind Alloy Wheels too much. I have to ask mine about the new brakes, hopefulyl they'll be ok. If not my policy's up in October, so I'd like to hear names of Mod Friendlly Insurers too. (also maybe worth trying Chris Knott - in the banner)

Your 1.4 should be 100bhp if it's standard. You'd need VAG-COM or a Rolling Road to actually measure though.

thanks for that, just had a look Admiral is very expensive !! only a small difference between quote with or without alloys.

Elephant were by far the cheapest for me, and the BHP of the 1.4 16v depends on a few things:

1: Automatic and Manual Fabia sport: 75bhp

2: All other Manual Fabias: 100bhp.
