I am about to order between hankook icept winters or Yokohama. They are for my Mk1 vrs which is running high torque. They will be in 195 45 16 any help or info in either would be great. I would love the continentals but pockets can't stretch that deep atm.

I had the Hankooks on my Mk1 VRS - They gave superb confidence in the rain and pulled me up some steep hills in snow where 4x4s running summer tyres were left stranded. They took about 500 miles to run-in, during which they were a little soft.

 

Just ordered some Avon Ice Touring winter tyres for my Octavia as availability of the Hankooks is low in 225-40-18 at a decent price, otherwise I'd have had them again.

Thank you for the information mate, I think I'm going to go with the hankooks as I've run. Them as a summer tyre before also and they did a good job and it's always better the devil you know!
