Welcome Home Yeti

Featured Replies

Welcome home to our new addition, picked up this morning and still learning all the buttons!

Ordered August 12th and bits added a couple of weeks later.

Dealers gave an estimated delivery of 07th to 21st October

Can't fault them except for their communication skills! They told me every thing I needed to know but no real sit and chat except for the original salesman who sadly left. Fortunately I pass there every day on my way to work so could drop in and be a pain ;-o

So far only been for a short ride in her but loved every minute of it (no smileys on my ipad :-( ) and on the way round we dropped in at the caravan storage and hooked up to check they electrics which I'm happy to report all work exactly as expected, but not towed yet obviously, and have to say - it looks fantastic!

Sussed out how to tilt / open / close sunroof and blind, how to tilt open and close sunroof and windows with key and how to fit the detachable towbar.

Still lots to play with ;-)

Sorry about the upside down photos but they are the right way up on my ipad!

Congratulations! Your outfit looks great! Did you have a factory fit tow bar?

My Yeti is being built this week, a lot earlier than I expected, dealer reckons It will be here towards end of October now. I had originally been told 10-12 weeks ordered 17th Sept so pleasantly surprised! I am still fidgeting a bit about the tow bar hence wondering if yours was a factory fit.

Hope they make a good job of mine!

Thanks

Yes it is a factory fit towbar - absolutely no problems with it or the electrics and the ground clearance is amazing after having the caravan on the back of the octavia.

Can't wait to get some miles under the bonnet to see how well it tows

And don't forget; if you have an Al-ko type tow hitch with stabiliser, remove the paint from the tow ball and keep it clean and grease free! A wipe with a rag with some clutch and brake cleaner on it does the job well I find.

That is really good to hear! Pleased for you and hoping it bodes well for me!

I don't have an Al-ko hitch (aged van) but thanks for the tip- may help someone who has too.

I can just imagine you being eager to get going- enjoy!
