HI,

Yesterday I bought my first ever Skoda.... a third hand (two previous owners) 2.0l TDi Estate DSG automatic - 2005 (55 plate).

 

I needed an estate car after my Mondeo was written off by an oncoming vehicle who decided that my side of the single carriageway road was a better place to be than hers... we were both travelling at 60mph. 

 

A swift Google for estate cars near Weymouth revealed an Octavia for sale in Poole, so off I popped had a test drive (urban and dual carriageway) and subsequently paid the deposit.

 

I was not attached to the Mondeo; it was a little small cargo wise and very sluggish when loaded. My previous estate car was an Omega 2.5v6....

Hopefully the Octavia will be an improvement on the Mondeo.

 

With any luck it will last a while - I tend to maintain cars until they break and Skoda/VW have a reputation these days for being pretty indestructible.

 

If/When anything misbehaves I will pop in for advice
