Why a Yeti is better than a Toyota

My dog used to make that shape when he was crimping one out

Usually somewhere he wasn't supposed to.

Can,t agree there, the problem with Toyota is that they have lost the plot in the last few years as regards 4x4,s.They have a super line up of 4x4,s the problem is we (UK and Europe)don,t get the best models. They have 2 models in the Uk market, the Rav4 and the landcruiser, the former being just a rework of the Auris and the latter is too highly priced for Mr Average. What they have done is not keep up with the present leaning to "Cross-overs"and so their present line-up is not up to the mark. They tend to be going more and more down the Hybrid route, which they are good at.

Another of their problems is they are not very good at building a good Diesel engine hence the ty-up with BMW for supply of their engines for the Rav4 (2015).

Sorry to go on a bit but I came from 2 Rav4,s and an Urbancruiser and own a Yeti(best move of my life)

Thats a US Toyota - a big, well known problem with the toyota's snapping behind the cabin area and its quite an old story to be fair.  :)

I can imagine the conversation on that conversion.

" No you muppet, a tipper body hinges at the body, not the 'king chassis!"

Agree Yetiman, that looks like an old 4Runner.

and they used to say toyotas don't break... :giggle:

it was either that or a Tacoma, I can't recall, just remember an American off roading guide telling me about it in Moab earlier in the year, it was due to chassis rot and it hit their reputation/image pretty hard.

I had an Avensis as a company car; every time it went in for a service the Toyota garage broke it.

Still, at least that was less time spent in the thing. Worst car I've ever had.

Toyotas are like VAG's were in the 90's. The build quality goes down to where they're built.

I had a 1989 Camry (Japanese built) and it was a proper, indestructible old barge. I went to look at a 1994 (American made) one, and it was a totally different story.
