Question about PS4 and PS+

Featured Replies

Do you need separate ps+ subscriptions for each account or per console?

Specifically will 1 ps+ subscription allow more than one account to play online?

I don't believe that has been answered yet.
I'm interested to know myself.

Follow up question.

I presume that gamesharing between 2 consoles is still ok?

So I could get online on 2 consoles with 1 ps plus account?

Example, I will have 2 PS4's one for me and one for my boy, both will have our PSN accounts on. I will purchase PS+ through my account and download what ever is needed onto both consoles. Now both consoles can play online with different accounts but 1 ps+ account?

Im sure it should work like this but has anybody heard anything?

The way I understand it is that you have 1 ps4 that is the "master" ps4 which can play online and offline ps+ purchases, you can then download the purchases to other ps4's but they have to be connected to the Internet for the ps+ stuff to work. Not sure if both can be online at the same time though. Sony ain't said too much about it. The ps4 will be the first console I ain't bought at launch, I will be getting one next year though.

Here is an FAQ from sony regarding game sharing.

Thanks for that :)

Looks like I'll need 2 PS+ subscriptions :(

What I would try first is set up one ps4 as the "master" ps4 using your own ps+ psn id and let your son use that one. Then you use the other ps4 with your id it should work ok. It should mean that your son can play on the master ps4 using his own psnID and is able to play everything on it as you downloaded it to the master ps4 using your psn ID then you can use the 2nd ps4 just means u gotta be online.

Not sure if that made much sense lol
