Finally it's here!

Featured Replies

So yesterday was the day I have been waiting for, the day I finally collected my new TDI vRS and with only 9 miles on the clock! The spec I went for was;

Candy white estate

Black pack

Sunset glass

Colour maxi dot

Amundsen sat nav

Spare wheel

Grey stitching

Anthracite wheels

Personally I think the exterior of the car is a different league from my previous mk 2 vRS. As other people have stated it is slightly Audi-esq but I don't think it's a bad thing and it still retains it's own style. The black pack and honeycomb grill look brilliant and really set the styling of the car,

On the inside the quality and updated feel continues, the seats are a huge employment, firm and supportive yet very comfy, the same as the ride, firm but without being bouncy on bumps.

The Bluetooth functionality is great, for both hands free calling and music, yes it doesn't display album art but I'm not really bothered by that, though I was concerned after some other posts saying you can only change the music on the phone, luckily this wasn't the case and using the controls on the steering wheel will change the tracks.

The sat nav has impressed me so far, easy to use, very clear and good functionality, it shows you traffic updates, auto zooms when approaching junctions. Clearly it is early days but as I get used to it I am hoping it will only get better.

It's a shame Skoda didn't add the satnav and cruise control as standard but otherwise it's hard to fault the car, and am looking forward to many more miles in the car.

Sounds great! Hope you enjoy your new car!

If its not a hassle, could you please post a photo up to show how dark the sunset glass is?

Cheers, and congrats on your new motor!

Congrats!

You must be one of the few (or maybe the first) that's ordered white with silver stitching.

As above, pics please!

Will do though will be a while as the British weather has really set in today and is raining. Once dry will post some photos

Cheers!

How does the silver stitching look with the white car?

Iv ordered the same but the popular choice seems to be red stitching!

It's a personal choice but I really like it, the demo car I drove had red stitching and for me it just stood out too much, I like the subtlety of the grey/ silver stitching.

I also am a member of the red stitching club. I'm starting to regret that choice, I think the grey stitching matches the race blue more.

Have to say I was all for the red stitching but now thinking silver if I order one. Still a nice highlight but a bit more subtle.

The problem with the red stitching is the garish red inserts in the seats, without those i would have gone for red but chose silver instead and i must say its very nice and subtle.

I agree with the red inserts, the seats look a bit wild, so I chose the silver to keep it neutral inside!

I was all set for the white stitching but changed my mnd to red at the last minute (whilst placing the order). Red may look a little loud, but the red brakes and anthracite wheels make these cars stand out much more. Sporty cars deserve sporty touches to set them apart from the rest of the range, and the Octy interior is the dullest part of the car.

I went for race blue and silver stitching. The red inside was just too garish for me

I have gone for the grey stitching too. I just preferred it to the red in the inserts.

I quite liked the red stitching on the MkII vRS...
