Upgarding DRLs

Featured Replies

I thought with the Octy III halogen projector lights the DRL was an H4 on low beam setting and 'spot' on high beam :wonder:

Have to read the manual again, although it doesn't help now Skoda only tell you how to change the bulbs not what they actually are.

None of the above plural should be Citygo's (presumably)

Are the DRL's a completely separate bulb or just the side lights?

The DRL's on the non-projector / non-bi-xenon headlights are dual-purpose.

The same bulb performs the role of DRL and main beam...

Thanks silver

So the combined DRL/main beam bulb is an H15 producing 19 & 63 W according to Osram but no Nightbreaker version :(

At least the dipped beam are H7 :)

Worryingly H15 bulbs do not seem to be widely available unless I'm completely missing something!

.

That is certainly the one thing it definitely should not be!  That's as bad as the infamous illiterate greengrocers' "banana's".

What on Earth do you want an apostrophe for?  It's a simple plural.

One car - two cars

One lamp - two lamps

One Skoda - two Skodas

One Octavia - two Octavias

One Citygo - two Citygos

Young children manage this without difficulty; why do some adults struggle?

Specialist bulb, typical of VAG. Cheapest I've found doing a very quick google is Amazon at £19.50 each :S

Also used in the Golf I believe.

Sorry guys I'm getting confused. (Easily done) Are you saying that the bulb for the main beam and the DRL is the same one with the ability to be on a dimmer output when DRL is on and a higher dazzle when main beam is activated?

Yep!

H15's can be found at the website I listed above and on Ebay.
