I've spotted that a few people who have ordered hatches have been getting later and later build weeks and now they've gone to "No build date"

 

Has anyone got to the bottom of what's going on there?

 

I phoned last week and my hatch is now at week 10 (ordered 26th Aug) - I'm going to wait a couple of weeks before checking again.

 

For info mine doesn't have anything special that has known delays, no ACC, no pano roof, spec was:

 

Ambunsden sat nav

Black pack

Cruise

Colour Maxi

I'm just wondering because obviously the line that SUK have been telling me about hatches not being built until week 45 is a load of rubbish (some are already in the UK) and the dealer is hopeless - there's nobody else to go to really!

I've got vRS Tdi hatch on order with cruse, canton,maxi dot, sunset glass, black design, mitsumi, spare and metallic paint.

I orderd mine 20th September. I called SUK and they confirmed my build date was week 15. I visited my dealer on Sunday and my build date has been removed from system, then he showed me on the system that vRS Tdi manual hatch had a 10 week lead time and add 6 weeks for front assist!

Confusing!

OK - Is your dealer still looking into it? - I'm also pretty confused at the moment, a few people seem to be saying similar things and I'm pretty annoyed now - don't really feel like a valued customer, especially with some people's cars randomly turning up....

Should add mine is also a TDI manual hatch as well....

I ordered my VRS TDI Man Hatch 17th August. Spoke with Skoda UK last Monday and also yesterday and my build week is currently wk45. She said this should be 'locked down' over the next few days so call again next Monday for an update. I'll keep you posted.

I just ping my dealer an email over every monday to check. Its gone from pending, to week 3 to unknown! Just have to wait and see really. Vrs hatch petrol

My dealer dose the best he can but it's down to the factory. I'd like to know what goes on in the factory and how/why build dates move.

I ordered a diesel hatch on 23/09/13. No problematic options.

 

Race blue

Normal cruise control

Leather heated seats

Black pack

Amunsden sat nav

Spare wheel

 

I checked with my dealer and SUK last week and they are giving me a build date of week 11 (10/03/14) however that is still unconfirmed.

 

There does not appear to be any consistancy with regard to build and delivery dates form Skoda. If there is, it is beynd me on how to work it out.

 

My brother ordered a same spec. vehicle other than his is petrol a week before me, and his build date is week 50.

 

Waiting a week to order, cost me an extra three month wait.

He's wrong. Lots of hatches already in the chain and delivered to dealers.

Mine is due to be built this week or early next.

My VRS TSI DSG hatch had a build week of 42 and had a call from suk today to say it's been built and en route to the exit port

Bugger, sorry to hear that. It's ever so strange the way orders are getting there build weeks from. Although my dealer did tell me he had used up his allocation up until january so any new orders won't be built until then, regardless of spec.

LewJo, I think our ordered vehicles are of similar spec. and were ordered at roughly the same time. My vehicle is now code 20 with build week 45 assigned. I hadn't thought about dealer allocations and the obvious effect on customer orders. Do you know what a typical dealership allocation is?

I ordered mine 17th August and it's now confirmed for week 45.

Mine disappeared off the system today... was end of November build.... Octavia TSI DSG Hatch Sat Nav and Sound Upgrade.

It must be down to allocation. That's the only explanation for how random the order in which hatches seen to be appearing!

Mine's been built & is on it's way.... Yipppeee!
