Boost pipes leaking

Featured Replies

So my pipes are leaking, I've fitted a fmic so all the new ones are good I noticed when fitting it that the pipe/ joiner that comes straight out the turbo was the main place it was leaking I was just wondering if anyone knew what the joiner but was called and if anyone could link me to it please :)

Do you mean the coupler that goes into the turbo its self. You can get the pipes from dealer (pricey) or get the coupler off eBay/forge and some silicone pipes. There's threads on here with sizes etc just search.

I believe it's the coupler thanks :)

Annoyingly you can get a coupler that fits perfectly into the turbo but not into the standard pipe!

Do you know where from? eBay? I see forge sell one but not sure on the dimensions, I could get a new 90degree bend and cut the alloy standard one I suppose

Literally just posted about this thanks :)

There's a thread on here somewhere with all the coupler sizes etc from the turbo to the egr, but can't find it at the min and forgot to bookmark it at the time.

Hopefully someone who has it saved could post the link for us both!.... Possibly DanHam or Joe? I'm sure it was one of you last time....

Well this is the one I found with the turbo but not the list of everything I was after...

Yeah I did see that but can't seem to find it either, the coupler that you linked me to is that basically the same as standard but the standard has the pipe attached? Do you know if I could put a gasket like silicone seal round the new coupler to stop any leaks?

You just use the o ring/seal from the old coupler on the new one. Though you can get new ones from the dealer incase yours is shot.

The coupler should be the same as the original so you'd just need the silicone pipe and either a jubilee clip or mikalor clam to hold it onto the coupler
