Hi guys, have had a service and thermostat change yesterday. When driving to work this morning I have had problems getting into 3rd and 5th gear.

Going to try yhe linkage adjustment tonight, but anything else it could be?

Worst case scenario is the selector fork pop rivet has come out or is coming out and that`ll be a gearbox out job im affraid.

My BAM S3 had a new gearbox at 45K because of this. The fix to this is to screw a bolt n nut through where the pop rivet used to be

Ended up getting rac out tonight afterwork as it was still playing up.(Only when engine running) he had a look at linkages, then cycled the gears from the geaebox and all sorted. Strangley now it is changing gear smoother than ever.
