Two little trim/door release pull problems.

Featured Replies

First off, these little, annoying glitches are in the 1.9tdi pd 55 reg Classic hatch.

The first concerns the light grey piece of trim which runs from the bottom of the front door frame to the top, and encloses the seat belt. The trim fits into the door rubber - except our doesn't any more, it comes away regularly, and I have to carefully feed it back in, and check every time I get in and out of the car. However, the missus, who uses the car most, doesn't check at all, and the trim had nearly come off altogether this morning.

The second glitch concerns the driver's door release catch on the trim panel on the door. I got back in the car today, closed the door, and the catch was out at about thirty degrees from the panel, and it wouldn't push back and stay there, although the door was shut OK. These door catches are pretty flimsy anyway (probably the worst I have ever seen on any car - excluding pull cord releases of course).

So has anyone else had problems with these, and if so is it easy to put them right?

Cheers,

Andy
