Hi I've got a 51 plate Octavia Vrs and after driving a while it feels like its lost a bit of power but if i switch off and re-start it seems to be back to normal. Could this be the Egr Valve or something else as i don't get any lights up on the dash when it feels like its lost power and feels flat

Get a fault code reader on it and see if any codes are stored as it really could be anything! Split vac/breather pipe, faulty coil pack, MAF sensor, oxy sensor etc etc.

hi Mancitydriver mine is not the vrs just 1.8 turbo but I thought mine wasn't that quick when I got the car 2 weeks ago iv had all the belts changes but also had the ecu cleared of codes and it is a lot quicker now so I would suggest getting it plugged in to a diagnostic machine and check for codes

Sounds like Limp mode, check hoses, breather hose, could be the issue?
