SE Plus - DSG - cruise control

Featured Replies

Hi

Looking upgrading my car for an octavia mk II SE plus 1.6 diesel DSG.

Do all the DSGs have cruise control? I would have thought so, but I'm hearing different things from dealers.

If not I guess I need an elegance, but then I lose out on the MFSW...choices choices...

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks!

You can download the August 2012 Octy Mk ll brochure from here . The SE doesn't have cruise control as standard but, for me, cruise control is much more desirable than a MFSW.

However, I have just bought a 2012 Mk ll, 1.4tsi Elegance, that has both cruise control and a MFSW (which I presume was specified as an extra by the original owner), so if you search about a bit you might find a 1.6tdi Elegance with both DSG and MFSW. Good luck.

Edited to add: I have no idea of your budget, but I've just looked at the Skoda used car site and there are some 1.6tdi Elegance models which have both cruise control and a MFSW, within reasonable travelling distance of your location. 'Reasonable' is very subjective though. I had to travel 70 miles to get my Octy, but it was well worth it.

Cruise Control can be retrofitted, I have done several

MFSW and Maxidot are worth having and would have been an optional extra on an Elegance.

Providing the Mfsw Controller supports Cruise you would only need the stalks set, so around £100 to do

Fitting a cruise control stalk is straightforward, taking the airbag off is not a great problem. As Eddie says as long as your steering controller is compatible its plug and play.

You will need access to VCDS to easily check the steering controller and then change the coding to enable CC.
