5th year service

Featured Replies

Just had an "interesting day". Took mine for its so-called 50K service (actually 36K in exactly 5 years.)

Pleased to say they couldn't find a single thing wrong to tell me about!

However, had a diesel 1.6 TDi Rapid as a courtesy car, as had been considering a possible change (but not to a diesel.)

Didn't like the engine at all, though rest of car seemed okay.

Trouble is, the bigger petrol option, 1.4 TSi only comes with DSG and I still want manual. Also its 0-60 is not as good as mine.

So not even thinking of changing. Don't like the new bigger bodied Octy either. I wish they would leave good cars alone!

Same thing happened to me when I had my much-loved Primera GT - they dropped the GT engine, then went and ruined the body styling.

I wonder if they will ever bring out a 160+ bhp manual Rapid?

Change is good but no change is better.

Chop it in for one of the last MkII 1.8 TSi's and run it until it dies!

Can you still get one new?
